EFFECT OF DIETARY SORGHUM DISTILLERY RESIDUE ON HEMATOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CULTURED GREY MULLET (MUGIL CEPHALUS)—AN ANIMAL MODEL FOR PRESCREENING ANTIOXIDANT AND BLOOD THINNING ACTIVITIES

The sorghum distillery residue (SDR) has been an underutilized by‐product with estimated production of 150 ton/day in Kinmen, Taiwan. The objective of this study was to test for any physiological effects of SDR, thus to utilize it as a nutraceutical feed ingredient in diets for cultured fish. Hot air‐dried, wet, and dehulled‐wet sorghum distillery residue showed 63%, 90% and 97% inhibition of the hemoglobin‐catalyzed oxidation of linoleic acid compared to soybean (13%) and rice bran (78%). The feed formulated with 20% wet or dehulled‐wet sorghum distillery residue both showed an antioxidant activity of 68% being higher than the control diet (53%). Feeding these diets to cultured grey mullet for 60 days in summer (temperature ranged 24–30C), resulted in a lower hydroperoxide content in gill tissue, as shown by a chemiluminesence intensity of 1806 or 1409 mV as opposed to 2666 mV for fish fed a control diet. In winter, when the water temperature decreased to 14C, grey mullet fed a diet consisting of 10% dehulled wet sorghum distillery residue had a blood viscosity of 1.9 mPas and a hematocrit value of 33%, in contrast to 3.6 mPas and 41% for control. The blood of the control group started to aggregate in 6 h and showed hemolysis, while the mullet fed dehulled, wet sorghum distillery residue did not show blood aggregation, maintained normal fluidity and erythrocyte membrane integrity. It seems that cultured fish may have the potential as an animal model for prescreening antioxidant and blood thinning effects of food ingredients.

Lattice Effects and Irreversible Magnetoresistance in Gd Doped La—Ca—Mn—O

The Gd substituting effects for La in La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 has been studied .With increasing the substituting amount of Gd,the phase transition temperature of metal-isolator for the samples decreases,the corresponding peak resistivity increases,the Curie temperature decreases monotonically.The substitution of La-Ca-Mn-O with 11% Gd for La improved the magnetoresistance ratio by an order of magnitude.The effects of substituting Gd can be explained in terms of the lattice effects.An irreversible MR behaviour was observed in Gd-substituting compounds.This effect became marked when the substituting amount of Gd was greater than 7%.A maximum irreversible increment of MR ratio as large as 91% was obtained when Gd substituting amount was 11%.

In this paper, according to the theory of thin shells, a basic equation in complex form is derived for conical thin shells with linearly varying wall thickness under symmetric loads, and the uniformly valid asymptotic solutions are given.     

基于变分模型的动态最优潮流新算法

为解决传统动态最优潮流（DOPF）算法中计算速度和计算精度之间的矛盾，建立了电力系统DOPF的变分模型，推导了该变分模型的最优性条件。在此基础上提出了一种基于Radau配置法的DOPF求解新算法。该算法具有计算量小、计算精度高等特点。对某实际系统的分析结果表明算法能够满足在线运行的需求。     

Residual Stress Simulation of Injection Molding

In this study, distribution and history of residual stresses in plaque-like geometries are simulated based on linear thermoviscoelastic model, which helps to understand the mechanics and evolution of the residual stresses in the injection molding process. The numerical calculation of direction, combined with the specified boundary conditions. Results show that the stress variation across the thickness exhibits a high surface tensile value changing to a compressive peak value close to the surface, with the core region experiencing a parabolic tensile peak. Residual stress distribution throughout the thickness is almost same along the flowpath and the final residual stresses value near the gate is lower than the value near the end of flowpath.

中国部分地区甲型肝炎病毒基因型分析

目的　分析中国部分地区甲型肝炎病毒 (HepatitisAvirus,HAV)的基因型。方法　采自辽宁 (LN1、LN2、LN3 )、上海 (Lu3 8)和云南 (YN)甲型肝炎病人的粪便标本共 5份 ,从中分离纯化HAV并提取病毒RNA ,以逆转录 半嵌套聚合酶链式反应 (RT hnPCR)合成VP1 2A交接区及VP1氨基端 ,经克隆筛选后进行测序分析。结果　所分离到的 5株HAV野毒株VP1 2A交接区 168个核苷酸 (nt)的片段与IB亚型的野毒株HM175比较 ,核苷酸差异 >7.5 % ;与IA亚型的日本野毒株AH1、AH2、AH3、FH1、FH2和FH3比较差异 <7.5 % ,因而均属IA基因亚型。但与IB亚型的野毒株MBB比较 ,LN1、LN3和Lu3 8在该区域的核苷酸差异 <7.5 %。进一步将LN1的VP1 2A交接区 3 3 9nt的片段、LN3和Lu3 8的VP1氨基端的核苷酸序列与MBB进行比较 ,核苷酸差异 >7.5 % ,表明这 3株HAV仍属IA基因亚型。结论　所分离到的HAV野毒株LN1、LN2、LN3、Lu3 8和YN均属IA基因亚型
